Tuesday:
We had another long day today filled with St. Peter's basilica and the Vatican museum/ Sistine Chapel. St. Peter's basilica was really nice but I still liked St. Paul's outside the walls better. Something I greatly enjoyed was the tomb of the Pope's. It was amazing to see all the tombs and read about all the great stories. After we went to St. Peter's we went to the Sistine Chapel/ Vatican museum. Unfortunately you can't get to the Sistine chapel without going through the Vatican Museum. Luckily though, we went through the Vatican Museum really fast and finally got to the Sistine Chapel. I have to admit though it was anti climatic. After seeing so many amazing churches, I was kind of thinking the chapel would be amazing but it was just another chapel minus the ceiling. The ceiling was amazing though. It was so detailed and magnificent. Michelangelo did an amazing job. It was great.
